Segal Cause of Death
Segal passed away on March 23, 2021, of complications from bypass surgery in Santa Rosa, California. News of his death was confirmed by his wife Sonia Schultz Greenbaum, who issued a statement.
The statement read; “The family is devastated to announce that this morning George Segal passed away due to complications from bypass surgery.”

Greenbaum and her late husband, George did not have any children together. However, he had two children; daughters, from his first marriage to Marion Segal Freed. The names of his daughters are; Elizabeth Segal and Polly Segal.

Greenbaum was married to American actor and singer George Segal. He became well recognized for his role in films like Ship of Fools (1965), King Rat (1965), Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966), and The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.
She and George had known each other from their former boarding school where they were classmates. They got married in 1996 and the couple was together until his death.
George had earlier been married twice. His first marriage was to Marion Segal Freed, from 1956 to 1983. In their 26 years of marriage, they had two children together.
His second marriage was to Linda Rogoff from 1983 until her death in 1996. Linda was a one-time manager of The Pointer Sisters. They met at Carnegie Hall when he played the banjo with his band the Beverly Hills Unlisted Jazz Band.
